The Tennis Club is located on the Harwell Oxford campus and has 3 hard courts, situated in a peaceful environment with changing facilities.
Being a ‘works club’ it has the advantage of good court availability. We have several teams in the Newbury & District League.
There are club sessions and coaching can be arranged. Tennis balls are provided.
We would welcome new members. The only pre-requisite is that members must also be a member of the Harwell Laboratories Recreational Association (HLRA). Take advantage of the Introductory Membership of £10.00 for HLRA members. Download an Application Form for the 2019/2020 season or contact the following for further information:

A social session is run on Thursday lunchtime between 12.00 and 14.00 which is ideal for those members working on site. For further information please contact Mark Cowper. Should there be sufficient demand the Committee will endeavour to introduce other sessions. Similarly if a member wishes to initiate a session(s) at a more suitable time for them, the Committee will be pleased to provide a list of members in order to publicise such a session.
Occasionally during the season, league matches may have to be played on the courts at these times. A notice to this effect will be posted on the pavilion notice boards.
There is currently an open coaching session held on a Monday at 12 noon by Ruth Ballantyne where any member can turn up, although it is not suitable for beginners. Please contact Mark Cowper for more details.
